Bible Question: What does a child age 15 do when his parents are confessed christians and they don't act like it, and what does he do to promote peace in this circumstance? |
Bible Answer: Hello illdie4jesus25! You have asked a good question, although you have described what can be called a "most delicate situation." When I was 15 years old, I endured the pain of seeing my parents go through a divorce. The ironic part of it was is that my father was a pastor of a church! The best solution that I have found for such a situation is to "be there" for your parents and be supportive in a Christlike way for your family. In a situation were two people are acting very "un-Christian", you can provide an example of leadership to them by being a servant to them and helping to care for their needs. Believe me, I know that this task is a lot to ask from a 15 year old in such a situation, but Christ will shine through you and your light of peace will be noticed! Keep in prayer always, and ask the Lord for guidance in this matter. Perhaps you should seek the help of your pastor, if your pastor is not one of your parents. :-) Blessings and peace to your family! Nolan |
