Bible Question:
Can someone tell me what it means when they seek the LOrd with all your heart. my husbands thinks this means to leave everything and try to find the LORD. He wants to be apostle and forget he has a family. He wont listen to me, |
Bible Answer: If you seek the Lord with all your heart, you will keep his commandments. John 14:15 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." John 14:21 "He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him." John 14:23 "Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him." John 14:24 "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me." John 15:10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love." Further... John 15:12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. John 13:34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another." John 13:35 "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." John 15:17 "This I command you, that you love one another." Tell your husband he doesn't need to go far. Tell him to read 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, and to learn to treat people with the love that Paul prescribes here, and he will do well. |
