Bible Question:
I have been very interested in the tales of the Holy Grail and I have come to one conclusion. I do not believe that we should spend our lives searching for this grail, for it only leads us away from our search for God. With this in mind, I have a question. Is it possible that when the grail stories were started in the 1100's that the grail was a metaphor for the rapture, or meeting with God? It makes sense, early stories started with a knight having a vision of the grail (metaphor - prophecy of rapture), when the knight awakes, he goes on an endless journey for the grail (metaphor - the meeting with God). What do you think? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Malspa... I expect you are right about the investment of time. You might want to pose this question on an anthropology or history forum. In Him, Doc |
