Subject: Why use the ambiguous word "Temperate"? |
Bible Note: Scripture ... Mat 28:19; Mar 7:4; Luk 11:38; Act 2:38; Heb 6:2, 9:10 ... Most think baptism should be "immersion". In Mark 7:4 and Hebrews 9:10, the word is baptismou;ß (baptismos). It is translated baptisms in Hebrews 6:2. This connects the purifcation of the OT with NT baptism ... by washing. Baptismos is a noun masculine. It is from the word found in Luke 11:38, which is baptivzw (baptizo) ... the same word found Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38 and 76 other places. Baptizo is verb. Take note of the differences in the parts of speech. Also read Post 5606 Searcher |
