Bible Question:
What is the differents in Board Members and Deacons...is there a reason you can't have 7 Men filled with Holy Ghost..but they have no Preaching knowledge? Our Pastor is saying that they need to get up and be able to Preach. Now., you can be a very good Board or Deacon person and filled with the Spirit and not Preach. but have the all the other to look after the church and Business that is needed to be done. Let me hear. Thanks. |
Bible Answer: See verse above and the one below. Teaching is a primary role of overseer. Biblically speaking, it is not a board position, but a role as a co-pastor of the flock. "holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refutethose who contradict." --Titus 1:9 --Joe! |
