Bible Note: Remember too that God himself divorced his wife Israel -- Jeremiah 3:8 And verse 1 of the same chapter indicates that once divorced the marriage cannot be reinstated (See also Deut 24:1 following). Divorce is a terrible thing but though there may be sin attached, sin repented of can and should be forgiven. For some reason divorce has become an unforgivable sin in the church. Jesus said we should forgive seventy times seven times Matt 18:22. |
