Bible Answer: My opinion therefore my commentary is it means exactly what it says. No twists or turns. It means you must have a reputation of integrity You must be married to one woman only. That you have self control. You must be wise. You must be a gracious host You must be able to teach. These are mimimium qualifications and for many reasons they are allowed to go unnoticed, or un-met at times. Usually to the church's harm. |
