Subject: Why not braided hair for women? |
Bible Note: Dear Azure, I think you read what I said just a little bit too fast. I said that Paul was NOT against the braiding of hair, I said He was against the style in which they did it. As they would braid their hair, they took melted pieces of gold and weaved it into their hair the same time. They also used gold as decoration for their hair. Paul thought all this was unnecessary. With the clothing issue, Paul did admonish the women to "adorn themselves with modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety;not with braided hair, or gold, or COSTLY array (expensive clothing)". Thanks for correcting me on the "tight-fitted" and "skimpy" situation. I might of taken it a little too far there. Plz forgive me. |
