Bible Question:
How are faith and love found in Christ? Its easier to see how love is found in Christ as God is love, but I always thought of faith as the part I have to play. That is, even though I don't fully understand I still believe and so that is my faith, a deliberate decision on my part. So is this saying that God will give me faith, or that God should be the centre of my faith? Different translations put it slightly differently and they are not making it clearer to me. Also, does God give more grace to those who have sinned more, or is sin, sin no matter how big or small, so his grace is the same, abundantly poured out for us all? |
Bible Answer: Romans 6:1-2 answers the last part with a NO What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Heb 11:1). |
