Subject: Why is 2 Thess. 2:7 mis-translated? |
Bible Note: Tim, That is so right. "Many times, a very literal reading in English does not really convey an accurate rendering of the Greek." I can't think of a language that one can accurately translate. I can think of an instance where my tranlator asked, "What do you mean, "There is more than one way to skin a cat? What's a cat?" I'm sure that was my "reasoning" here. I had not idea what "Cat" was, if you get my drift. Thanks. |
