AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed], [Dan 7:25; 8:25; 1 Tim 4:1] |
Bible Question:
When does the gathering of the saints occure? and where does Rev.20:4,6. fit in to the grand scheme of Gods plan? Are there three ressurections? M.Royal |
Bible Answer: M.Royal, If you count all three, as I do, the first resurrection is the gathering up (rapture) of living believers and the those in the grave that were believers, is the first. The second would be those who came to Christ during the "great tribulation," being resurrected to the thousand year period. The final and third will be all the unsaved-lost dead for the final resurrection. And for all the final judgment, believers unto the bema seat or Christ's judgment, the lost unto "the great white throne judgment." At this time the lost and Satan will be cast into the lake of fire forever. It's been many years since I studied this out but that is "a basic explanation." I think that answers Rev.20:4,6 Verse 5, "this is the first resurrection," refers back to verse 4, those who died for Christ during the great tribulation. Giving you a blessing, InGodITrust |
