NASB | Colossians 4:5 ¶ Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Colossians 4:5 ¶ Conduct yourself with wisdom in your interactions with outsiders (non-believers), make the most of each opportunity [treating it as something precious]. |
Bible Question:
How do we conduct ourselves wisely? What does this entail? Something else to consider in light of this verse: Brian McLaren in, "More Ready Tha You Realize", makes this observation about believers: "God has sent us into the world as ambassadors and agents of God's love, and yet many of us have never arrived at our destination. So in that light, who is lost - them or us?" |
Bible Answer: My answer.................................................. Hello Mommapbs, I think the answer to your question is in the next verse. Colossians 4:6 "Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person." Now if only we could all do that on this forum consistently :) |
