NASB | Colossians 3:11 a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Colossians 3:11 a renewal in which there is no [distinction between] Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, [nor between nations whether] barbarian or Scythian, [nor in status whether] slave or free, but Christ is all, and in all [so believers are equal in Christ, without distinction]. |
Bible Question (short): Who are: Freeman, God Fearers, Proselyt? |
Question (full): Who were the "Freeman", the "God Fearers" and the "Proselytites"? It is the “Freeman” that I am most interested in. I remember parts of a talk I heard about who these people were in 1st Century Israel, but have forgotten. I can not seem to find the answer now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
