Subject: BradK, Are the other OT Laws in effect? |
Bible Note: Hi BradK, I believe the Ten Commandments themselves are the "guides" for our practical walk. To the extent that we keep them we are fulfilling all the Law of Christ. Afterall, he is our example and we pray to be a more perfect reflectin of Him. By keeping the Ten Commandments we are walking by faith and after the Spirit. And we do so because it is a joy to be obediant! Not becuse we fear punishment but because we love God and seek to please our Father and bring glory to His Son, our precious Saviour. A wise saint once wrote that true freedom is doing what is right because we want to do it. The ceremonial law and the civil law were written on goatskin with a pen by man. The Moral Law was engraved on stone by the finger of God. Of course, as in all that we think, say and do, we are totally dependent on the grace of God. Phl 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure. I have to cut it short. John |
