NASB | Philippians 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Philippians 3:10 And this, so that I may know Him [experientially, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely] and [in that same way experience] the power of His resurrection [which overflows and is active in believers], and [that I may share] the fellowship of His sufferings, by being continually conformed [inwardly into His likeness even] to His death [dying as He did]; |
Bible Question: If we partake of Christ's suffering, what did Christ suffer? The obvious suffering was physical pain and emotional anguish. What does the scripture say was Christ suffering? |
Bible Answer: Paul gave up everything to know the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings. What are you willing to give up to gain some understanding into this mistery. You must give something to gain knowledge. You must give it all and follow Him. We see things through a glass darkly. As the light is acknowleged in certain areas of your life, you will at that time be willing to give up something to gain the insite God has for you. This might mean time, possessions, pleasure, anyway you look at it and from my expierence it must be some form of sacrifice..something you like....Selah777 |
