NASB | Philippians 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Philippians 3:10 And this, so that I may know Him [experientially, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely] and [in that same way experience] the power of His resurrection [which overflows and is active in believers], and [that I may share] the fellowship of His sufferings, by being continually conformed [inwardly into His likeness even] to His death [dying as He did]; |
Bible Question: What does Philippians 3:10-11 mean? What does "share His sufferings" mean. My understanding of Chistians suffering is that as Christians we are to resist what Christ suffered for us on the cross - He died for us so we do not have to go through what He went through if we apply the Word to our situations. If we HAVE to go through sickness, opression etc, why did He die? |
Bible Answer: "share his sufferings" is not in the Bible. The word share comes from Carl Marx and the Communist party.Do you know why a Jehovah's Witness believes what he does? It's becouse his "bible" teaches him J.W. doctrine. You will never understand the Bible until you find out what is the Bible.Do you know why someone with an Nasv will get confused on water baptism for salvation?Becouse his "bible" teaches that doctrine in many places.Ask your Grandmother or Grandfather if their saved or any older saved individual (70plus)to show you a Bible. They'll give you a book that was made before 1880 most likely.Ask God to show you what his Bible is. |
