AMPLIFIED 2015 | Deuteronomy 4:1 "Now, O Israel, listen and pay attention to the statutes and the judgments (God's legal decisions) which I am teaching you to do, so that you may live and go in and take possession of the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you. |
Bible Question (short): Seeing and talking to God vs praying |
Question (full): In the old testament, God actually appeared spoke with Adam, Moses, Abraham, Jacob, etc,. How come there isn't a place in the New Testament where God actually appears and speaks with Jesus, His Son? Before Jesus is crucified we see Him praying to the Lord at Gethsemane. Did Adam, Moses and Abraham pray as well? Or could they simply speak with God? It just seems odd that the Son of God prays to communicate with His Father, where Adam, Moses and Abraham saw Him face to face. |
