Bible Note: Hi Joe, About verse 8- I did not say that I had no sin. Verse 9- I did confess my sins and he did forgive me. verse 10- If I had of said that I had no no sin prior to confessing then I would have accused him of being a liar. How about the next verse. 2:1. My little children, these things I write unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: I think that we both agree that Christ is the only one that has ever lived a sin free life. But when we are born again we are expected to also, not that everyone will or does. But when John was talking here he must have thought that someone was living without sin or else he would have said, "when man sins" instead of "if any man sins". I guess I'm not sure what you were speaking of when you said that Paul didn't even have a walk that was sinless. What did Paul do that was sinful after he was saved? You and I may disagree on this subject but I know that there will be no contention between us, and may God bless you. Lanny |
