Bible Question:
You right, But what I really mean is do we have in the old testament a teaching that really will make people belong to that time will knowledgeable enough about hell or heaven. Do we have in the Old testament or any teaching of Moses that will include promises that the souls of thoses people will someday go to heaven, do moises taught his people that if they committed sin they will be punish in the eternal fire. I know that in old testament to many passages mentioned hell, like for instance from the book job or even David mentioned those also. If in the Old Testament wwe have no teaching regarding this, I think it is unjust for them. (im not questioning the God here)If im not mistaken the promises given to the people of Israel was the promise land. I hope somebody can answer this. Johnny |
Bible Answer: The old testament teaches the same thing about sin as the new testament with the same outcome. The biggest deceiver and false doctrine in this world today is the you must sin doctrine. St. John 5:14 and 8:11 clearly states sin no more. Jesus would not command someone to do something that they were not capable of doing. This would be unjust. Also Jesus came to save his people from their sins, not in them, Matthew 1:21. Most want to give the devil more credit than God. They feel that the devil is able to put you in sin and that God is unable to deliver you out of sin. TOTALLY FALSE. We must live holy lives which without no man shall see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14. Look up the word holiness in the dictionary. 1 John 3 is an excellent chapter. How can anyone look past this and think that they can sin and go to heaven. And as it says here " let NO man deceive you". It's not unjust for them to go to hell for sinning and it is not unjust for us. If God were to let us get away with sin then it would be unjust. As for Moses laws please refer to St John 5:46-47 and Matthew 5:17. Nowhere in the Bible, new or old testament, do I see that we can live in sin and go to heaven. I hope that this helps. Lanny |
