Bible Question: If a childless widow marries the brother of her dead husband, and then gives birth ONLY to daughters, does the land which belonged to the dead brother go to the firstborn daughter? |
Bible Answer: I think you are thinking of the daughters of Zelophehad Numbers 27 where their father only had daughters and they petitioned Moses that the inheritance of the their father would not be lost because he didn't have any sons. Moses gave the five daughters of Zelophehad their fathers land and conditioned it with the requirement they married in their father's tribe of Manasseh Numbers 36. |
