Bible Note: tessie, Greetings and welcome to the forum. Passages of scripture such as 2 Timothy 3:16,17, 2 Timothy 2:15, and 2 Peter 1:20,21 are vital when interpretation of any scripture is to be considered. When we keep these passeges of scripture in mind our study of Gods Word will be much more fruitfull and productive. In reference to Psalm 131:1 The hebrew word for proud here is gabah- to be proud, haughty, the attitude of pride or arrogance. This is a fairly long definition so I've briefly given it's definition, but this is the proper useage of the word proud,so however brief pride is dealt with in PS 131. What David does do here is to give us a valueable illustration of what our attitude of heart should be and where our hearts ought to be. Keep comming back your questions and heart are appreciated. In Christ, lionheart |
