Subject: What are our duties as man and wife |
Bible Note: Yes, God loves me more than my own family. Jesus died for us so that we may be forgiven of our sins. I beleive all of that so very deep in my heart. As a child I wanted to go to church. But was in a family that did not really believe. I would go any chance that I got. You have such knowledge of the bible. You must have been studing it for years. The answers that my preacher gave me to each question are like yours. Here is just the answers he gave. 1.This is true of a divorced person as well as a never married person. It is wrong for any person, single or divorced to commit fornication. 2. This is true wwhether their marriage was disolved on scriptural or non-scriptural grounds. 3.This is true regardless of what might have occured prior i.e. another marriage to the desertion. 4.Paul really doesn't teach that Jesus teaching about divorce exempts anyone. Jesus said himself it applies to "anyone" Matthew 5:31 5.A person should remain in the "situation he was in when God called him" To fail to do so is to sin. It is not, however, an unpardonable sin. When David took another man's wife, she became his wife and God sen the prophet to say "The Lord has taken away your sin..." 1Samuel 12:13. IF forgiveness was possible under the old Testament with the cross, isn't it even more so now under the blood of Jesus? 6. Yes, he does say that those who have been loosed from a companion are free to marry and will not commit sin if they marry. This , however , goes back to the priciple taught earlier it is better to marry than to burn with lust. I am sure you are a smart enough person to know that I am having troubles in decideing what to do with the life that I have now. However, I don't want to write it down for the world to see. I have to thank you so much for your insight. And hope that the next few letters will lighten my heart. You were right to stand by your daughter. I have a daughter that is graduating this year. I am very proud of her. She holds a 4.0 grade adverage. She is apply to college to get a doctorine in phycology. She is as smart as her father. As you can see by my spelling she excells past me. I look forward to your next letter. God bless you. |
