NASB	Ephesians 4:7 ¶ But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
AMPLIFIED 2015	Ephesians 4:7 ¶ Yet grace [God's undeserved favor] was given to each one of us [not indiscriminately, but in different ways] in proportion to the measure of Christ's [rich and abundant] gift.

Bible Question: Explain spiritual gifts ? ?

Bible Answer: Spiritual gifts are the manifestation of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. They are given to all who have accepted Christ as Savior. Everyone that is a born-again Christian has at least one gift, some have more than one, but ALL are important to the body of Christ. They are given to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (eph. 4:12-13)

There are two kinds of gifts - speaking gifts and serving gifts. Speaking gifts are the gifts such as apostleship, prophecy, evangelism and pastor-teacher. Serving gifts are those like helps, service, exhortation, giving, mercy, tongues, administration, etc. there are a few more.

The point of receiving gifts from God is so that we will be able to function in a healthy way as the body of Christ. The gifts were given for the church so that we will all help each other grow in Christ. It is a sad church indeed that does not allow its members to make use of their gifts. For instance, if I have the gift of teaching but I am put in a service position (say greeting people as the come through the door), I am not using my gift the way God intended.
