Subject: Unity to the body of Christ |
Bible Note: Ephesians 4:1-6 (NKJV) 1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. It seems in the church world no matter where you go you will find someone that will bring most conversations back to the differences of denominational beliefs. The scripture above stresses that there is only one Spirit, One Lord, One baptism and one Salvation. Jesus prayed for unity and I have always wondered why so many want to bring division by claiming their denominational belief is superior to another’s. If it works for you praise God but why do you feel you must tell us others are wrong? Why must you mock others? Why must you cast doubt on others? Why must you perpetuate lies, half truths and falsehoods about other denominations? |
