Bible Note: Hi, EdB! This is so correct! Remember Jesus words on hatred?: But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother[a]will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,[b]' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell. (Matthew 5:22) So when we intentionally remove love from the equation, aren't we evoking hatred? How can we claim to love God whom we cannot see while harboring discord towards our fellow Christians? And when we continuously seek the path of least resisitance by dividing the Body of Christ or by justifying schism, are we not disobeying Christ's Commandment? ("...be one.") God Bless! Angel |
