Subject: How should we view Christianity. |
Bible Note: How should we view Christianity? In many cases Scripture draws a line in the sand, a line which if crossed is sin. Is it expected that if we love Christ we will always walk just inside the righteous side. Or is it expected that we walk so far away from the line in righteousness that the Line is no longer visible in the distance? I see people that want to justify things saying there is no prohibition against this. That is exactly the argument of the Pharisees, they justified themselves with the law working either side for their favor. The first thing we must always do is ask does this action glorify God. If not does it open God to unjust criticism? Lastly if others see me doing this will it reinforce a positive perception of a Christian or not? I believe if we try to live like that the line in sand will be distant to us at least not close enough to make us ask can we cross it and what will happen. |
