Bible Note: Dear Mike, Thank you so much for your answer, and yes, it is very helpful and flows right in line with what Paul seems to be talking about overall in “the mystery”. This mystery seems to play out in two parts that really come together in One: 9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him 10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. It does seem that God’s plans are pretty big and at the time of the writing of this letter it was enough to be able to get across this vast chasm that “16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. 17 AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR; 18 for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household,” Very interesting topic for my wife and I. It is indeed a blessing to know that “…Even angels long to look into these things!” 1 Peter 1:12 |
