Bible Question:
Howdy, I have a question. Do you believe Catholics go to heaven? Personally I think they do. But someone told me they didn't. Which doesn't make since to me. I mean they should. If anyone has any scripture or words of wisdom I would appreciate it. Well just wondering what everyone thought. God Bless |
Bible Answer: I was saved as a 17 year old having been Catholic myself. 27 years later, I have learned that many Catholics are saved, many are not. Those that are, like myself have come to Christ on a personal basis, repented from sins that I had not confessed before, and received Christ as my ONLY pathway to Heaven. Catholics must come to Christ like everyone else does - in humility, totally inept of saving ourselves, not by works nor by religious righteousness. We are totally depraved and Christ is the only One Who can save us from the wages of sin. Some Catholics have done this. There are millions upon millions who have not. Read I John 5:11-13. That nails the coffin shut on this issue. Hope this helps you - HHannaJr - Birmingham, AL |
