AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace [God's remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. Bible Question:
The media says Muselim is the fastest growing religious in the world. Even in Africa more people become Muselim than Christian. What does the Muselim religious offer that the Christian don't have? Are the Muselim people that the bible refer to the 2000 million anti-Christ toward the end of the world? As a Christian, what can we do to count this trend? |
Bible Answer: Question Answered .................. I am not sure that Islam is the fastest growing religion worldwide, but I'll give my idea as to what Islam has to offer that Christianity doesn't. C.S. Lewis once wrote about how the problem with Christianity was that it was too easy. The whole salvation being a free gift from God doesn't make much sense to us humans. We have an innate desire to try to earn everything that we receive. This is one thing that Islam is able to provide. A Muslim's salvation is completely dependant on themselves and their good works. They have to pray a certain number of times each day, in a certain way. They have to attempt a pilgramage to Mecca at some point in their life. They have to fast during the day at a certain time of the year, etc. If they do all these things then they earn their salvation. This system of "rubbing the magic lamp in just the right way" so to speak, is very attractive to human pride. And that is why I think that so many people are drawn to that religion over Christianity. |
