Subject: What can we learn from Christ? |
Bible Note: Brother Hank, Unbeknown to you, you played a small part in helping me to maintain my part-time job, and my integrity. Thank-you. Today I ran into a certain set of circumstances that ruffled my feathers to no end. I had gotten to the point where I was ready to walk off my job. My sudden departure would have left my supervisor in a real sticky situation. I would have been terminated on Monday for Job Abandonment. I had just about made up my mind on my course of action when I suddenly remembered, of all things, this question of yours and my reply. That started a chain reaction in my thinking process. I started thinking more in detail about ‘longsuffering' and ‘patience'. I then started quoting my memory verses, some of which includes; I Cor. 13:1-13, I Cor. 15:57-58, and Col. 3:12-14. By the time I was finished I was able to see more clearly. What I saw was that I allowed the adversary to get me so hot under the collar, I almost jeopardized my part-time job and my christian integrity. God could have used any avenue of things to get my thinking process on the right track, what He decided to use was a question posted by you. The CurtMan |
