Bible Note: Greetings Ray - thanks for this! I hadn't considered the Ishmael/Isaac thing - good point. It continues to amaze me that many authors of "Christian" literature do NOT use capitol letters when referring to God by pronoun or noun (Spirit) and it not only bothers me, but confuses my thinking at times. When we read Scripture, it's ALL about HIM! God reveals Himself to us there - Who He is, who we are to Him, who and how we relate to Him. Jesus summed it all up in what is known as the greatest commandment! I wonder how we might be different and what might really happen IF we were obedient in this?
