Bible Question: Between the hearing of faith (Galatians 3:5)and those who are of faith (Galatians 3:7) what is there? |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Rom 10:15-13, 16-7; Gal 3:5 ... Galatians 3:5 So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? 6 Even so Abraham BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS. 7 Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. Romans 10:13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED." 14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!" 16 However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?" 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Ray, greetings. The answer is believing, as Abraham did (Gal 3:6) and the process of being saved ... having someone sent to preach, so they can hear, then believe, then call, so they are saved (Rom 10:15-13). But, not everyone who hears will believe (Rom 10:16). Searcher |
