Bible Question:
Debbie, I did not mentioned that all teaching of Old Testament was wrong, My explaination is, if there are teaching of Moses that Jesus Christ continue taught that teaching are correct. Here are my explaination regarding this topic. The teaching about tithing is the teaching of Moses, I not telling here that the teaching of Moses was wrong. I will give you some verses please read it carefully Mark 9:5-7 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. "For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him." If you notice from the paragraph that I quoted "For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid." Before Peter finish what he is going to say: (and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.") What is the meaning of this, God the tell them this is my beloved son: hear Him." Why the Lord God not tell Peter "Here they are hear them" Meaning all kind of teaching that Jesus Christ is going to teach us Him we are going to hear and follow. I did not say that we are not going to follow the teaching of Moses, But those teaching of Moses that Jesus Christ also continue taught. How about the teaching of Moses that Jesus Christ not taugh anymore, Are we going to follow those teaching? If you can give me the verse in the bible that Jesus Christ taught that tithing is the important requirements, please do. But to support my stand that tithe is not the requirements please see what Jesus Christ said: Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Again, I'm telling you that giving is not wrong, what I'm trying to say is that tithe is not a requirements for any members of the Church but if member can give more than that and it is more acceptable to God. If we remember more Apostle gave even thier lives to fullfill the teaching of Christ. You are open to question my stand In Christ, Johnny |
Bible Answer: Did you not answer your own question when you asked for a verse in the bible of Jesus saying tithing is important? You quoted Mat 23:23. When Jesus said "not to leave the others undone" was not tithing included? I think it was. Jesus must have thought tithing was important, otherwise He would not have said to not leave undone.
