Subject: Tilthe calculation:On gross or net pay? |
Bible Note: I believe it's on the gross wage. Depends on how many deductions you have, if you do it after deductions, there could be next to no money left. eg. after tax, after health insurance, after canteen meals, after mortgage payment. And if you are looking at your net pay as an excuse to give God less, then you could even get some more deductions added to you pay, which proves it can't be right. Try giving God the tithe on your gross, and I'm sure He'll bless you like He has us. Malachi 3:10b Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. Genesis 14:20b Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything. Luke 18:12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get. Hebrews 7:2a and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. |
