Bible Question: On what basis is tilthe on salary calculated(gross or net after deductions)? |
Bible Answer: On what basis is tilthe on salary calculated(gross or net after deductions)? My Answer: In the new testament there is no teaching of Jesus Christ, about tilthe, the teaching goes 2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. The teaching about tilthe is the teaching of Moses, I not telling here that the teaching of Moses was wrong. I will give you some verses please read it carefully Mark 9:5-7 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. "For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him." If you notice from the paragraph that I quoted "For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid." Before Peter finish what he is going to say: (and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.") What is the meaning of this, God the tell them this is my beloved son: hear Him." Why the Lord God not tell Peter "Here they are hear them" Meaning all kind of teaching that Jesus Christ is going to teach us Him we are going to hear and follow. I did not say that we are not going to follow the teaching of Moses, But those teaching of Moses that Jesus Christ also continue taught. How about the teaching of Moses that Jesus Christ not taugh anymore, Are we going to follow those teaching? Example of Moses that not applicable for gentiles: "Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; " Ephesians 2:11-12 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: I hope this will help In Christ, Johnny |
