AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 6:16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said: "I WILL DWELL AMONG THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. [Ex 25:8; 29:45; Lev 26:12; Jer 31:1; Ezek 37:27] |
Bible Question: Will you give me some scriptures, On why christains should not marry unbelivers. |
Bible Answer: 2 Corinthians 6:14 - Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Revelation 3:16 - So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. When you combine these two scriptures, the reason is truly evident. When you mix righteous and unrighteous or light and dark you end up with a dilution of the two. The same happens when you mix hot and cold. This dilution is considered lukewarm. God desires purity without blemish. The relationships of His people should be pure and righteous not half way righteous. He will have the same feeling of disgust in a lukewarm relationship as a lukewarm church. |
