Bible Question:
What does the word have say about being in covenant with another person. |
Bible Answer: There are many things said about entering into covenant with others but the most significant is 2 Cor. 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? Many places in the Bible we see God enter into covenant with man; Adam, Noah, Abraham. In each case if the covenant was broken it was do to man not God. The Old Covenant was made between God and man, and man broke that covenant many times. The importance of the New Covenant is that it is between God and God (Jesus) or Perfect and Perfect it will never be broken. Man become a partaker or beneficiary of that covenant by his faith in Christ EdB |
