Bible Question: who is a sinner, if I am born again does it make me holy. |
Bible Answer: David, Two things we can look at: 1. 2 Cor. 5:18 tells us "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come." 2. We are also called "sanctified in Christ Jesus", "saints by calling" in 1 Cor. 1:2. However, we do still have a fleshly nature that we struggle with. Gal 5:17 says "For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please." So, we do have to balance who we are in Christ with the fleshly nature that still resides in us. We are sinners saved by grace made righteous and holy in His sight by His doing (1 Cor. 1:30).
