Subject: Simple analogy to understand the Trinity |
Bible Note: Support for my Trinity beliefs........................................ The Father is God. Eph 4:6 "one God and Father of all..." One of the Father's primary purposes is to determine the will of the whole Trinity. Luke 22:42 "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me (Jesus); yet not My will, but Yours be done." The Son is God. John 1:1 "...the Word (Jesus) was God", John 10:30 "I (Jesus) and the Father are one." One of the Son's primary purposes is to reconcile humanity to God. 2 Cor 5:18 "Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation". The Holy Spirit is God. Acts 5:3-4 clearly equates lying to the Holy Spirit in verse 3 with lying to God in verse 4. There is further support in 1 Cor 2:10-11. One of the Spirit's primary purposes is to guide our daily lives. John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My (Jesus) name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you."
