Bible Question: I do not have a verse, but could someone explain this, its from a book, and it's a prayer for the wife for her husband. If you can link it to a verse that would be great: I release my husband from the burden of fulfilling me in ther areas where I should be looking to You(God). Thanks |
Bible Answer: Whether our spouse is a christian or a nonchristian our focus most importantly is suppose to be unto the Lord. We live for the Lord and to do His will. Exodus 20 talks about We are to have no other gods or idols before Him. Although we are called to love our husbands, sometimes we allow our husband to be more important than Christ. We are suppose to love the Lord first, with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Matthew 10:37-38 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. He who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. I hope this helps! |
