Bible Question:
Freedom is on the lips of many today, but do they truly know what it means. Is freedom the ability to do as we please or is it the ability to heed Gods call on our lives and act in a godly manner where his call to us is concerned? In Christ, lionheart |
Bible Answer: My Freedom comes in my total commitment to Him. Doesn't that sound strange? Being totally bound to Him, gives me freedom? John 8:32 - You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free. (I capitalized). The more I know Him and about Him, the freer I am. I think there is no freedom in this world aside from this. We are always bound by others requirements, expectations, rules, laws, etc. When people say I am free can can do what I want - they are not free. And they aren't doing what they want. I've been there. I was following the way the world wanted me to be. Like the song says - "This is what it means to be free, this is what if feels to know that I am forgiven." |
