Bible Answer: A steward is an overseer of something, it can also be a person who is entrusted with the caretaking of something that is not his own whether it is a house, a task, business affairs or in a metaphorical sense in relation to the divine mysteries as referred to in 1 Corinthians 4:1. The mysteries you are referring to are the secrets of the bible that are hidden or beyond human understanding. There are many things that we are told about in the bible that have not happened such as the time of Jesus return. It is all of these mysteries that are told of in the bible we are are "stewards" over. |
