NASB | 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God]. |
Bible Question: Why did not Mary know Jesus after three days away from him. AND the Two did not know Him while He walked and talked with them. Untill He opened their eyes |
Bible Answer: I think that the reason was unbelief. I did not know why Jesus could not do many miracles in his home town because of the people's unbelief until the reality of this concept was applied to my life. My wife and I have a relationship that most people cannot comprehend. Even our believing friends that have met with us for years in Bible study cannot truly understand the oneness that we have. Years of conditioning in the world, telling them that relationships like this were not possible have put a barrier there where their belief system cannot go, yet. Likewise, Jesus was breaking new ground here in the resurrection. The belief systems of the people, even his own disciples were prohibiting them from fully realizing the truth. Jesus broke through those barriers in both cases just like He wants to for us. Sometimes it doesn't matter how hard we try, until God breaks through for us we won't get it. |
