NASB | 1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:1 ¶ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God's love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. |
Bible Question: I was just wondering what some good bible verses that deal with how people communicate (or should communicate) with each other are? If anyone knows some, I'd like to know. |
Bible Answer: Greetings trisky! 1 Corinthians 13:1 is the beginning of an excellent and one of the most beloved passages of Scripture. I believe that this is how believers should interact and communicate with each other. As far as unbelievers, we must act with tact, not forgetting that we are a "fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;" (2 Cor. 2:15-16). Blessings to you, Makarios |
