NASB | 1 Corinthians 1:13 Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 1:13 Has Christ been divided [into different parts]? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul? [Certainly not!] |
Bible Question:
Its a scriptual in the bible that says "Come out from among them and be ye sepreate does that mean I can't have friends outside of the church |
Bible Answer: Absolutely not! Didn't Saint Paul say, "Let there be no division among you"? One of my best friends is Hindu, and many of them are Islamic, Jewish, Hindu, and one Buddhist. Christ sent you here and gave you His love and His message not so you could parrot it back to people who already know it but so you could spread the word to people who don't, or people who don't understand it. If you have a very good friend who isn't Christian, don't you want to give them a chance to get to know the guy who died for them? I think your verse means that you shouldn't act like those who believe there is no God, no Heaven, no Hell, etc. Be seperate spiritually, not physically. If you learn to alienate people on Earth, you don't want to risk that transferring to Heaven. |
