Bible Question: romans 4-17-22 can i do that? i hear people say speak those things that are not as though they are.i have not read were jesus did it i want too tell the people not too use that saying but i am a bit confused.let this mind of christ be in you also that is the defensive saying for the other saying. can u help me with this? |
Bible Answer: Hi Damon, If I may, you really need to read and consider the entire context of Romans 4 first! The context will determine the answer to your question. Ask yourself, "what is Paul saying?", and "what is the focus of the chapter?" Further, is Paul prescribing something we should do or is he merely describing something? This is not a carte blanc, mystical incantation for us to use to "get something". Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
