AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 3:25 whom God displayed publicly [before the eyes of the world] as a [life-giving] sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation (propitiation) by His blood [to be received] through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness [which demands punishment for sin], because in His forbearance [His deliberate restraint] He passed over the sins previously committed [before Jesus' crucifixion]. |
Bible Question: gracefull, yes thanks! your reply helped me alot, but i still have one lingering question. i understand that the blood of animal sacrafices cannot take away the sins of the people, however, does this mean that their sins just go unpunished? Does God not judge these people based on their "righteousness" or how they obey the commandments? or do they not get judged at all? thanks again. |
Bible Answer: Good morning lovesomuch, I was away for a few days. Have you found your answer? Except through the blood of Jesus can anyone be saved. We are saved through His righteousness. Those who died in faith were given the opportunity to accept Jesus. God is just. All sins of followers of the Lord Jesus Christ are forgiven because Jesus paid the price, suffered our penalty. But the sins of the lost will not go unpunished. Thus we need to pray for a heart for the lost! Let me know if you have 'lingering' questions. Sometimes it takes several posts to get to he HEART of a matter. God bless. |
