Bible Question (short): God's way vs the fashion of the world |
Question (full): We are earthen vessels in order that the holy spirit within may shine forth. Do you not think that we greatly err when we cover the lord's handiwork with "fashionable" worldly apparel according to the "dress codes" of man's wisdom? When Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden. They were provided with garments to protect them from the hostile environment where they were to reside. Is this not the purpose of clothes? All else is vanity. Remember Joseph's beautiful coat? I know the brothers were already jealous, but didn't that just set them off! |
