Subject: Who is a Jew? |
Bible Note: Like I said, the term Jew was used to refer to all those of Israel by this time. But the term originated from the tribe of Judah which for centuries was the only tribe in the Land; however, some individuals from other tribes were there in very small number. Thus Paul, a Benjamite, would refer to himself as a Jew by this time in history—especially speaking to Greeks or Romans. If I get some time I will research it some more and provide more definite information, none of which is really important to know, but of late I have been very interested in the Hebrew and world history during the second temple times.
