Subject: Who is a Jew? |
Bible Note: Kalos, A Jew is from the tribe of Judah. Usually one thinks of Israel and Jew as one and the same. Technically that is not accurate. But since most who remain are from the tribe of Judah, the name Jew came to mean all Israel. It is interesting to note that Paul (Saul) was a Benjamite, and not a Jew (from Judah). I'm certain there is much more detail information about how and when this term Jew came about and when it replaced Judah and when it came to mean all Israel. |
